Augusto Fanjul is a New York-based artist. He obtained a master's degree at the New York Academy of Art. He also studied Fine Arts at the National School of Fine Arts of the Dominican Republic (2006-2010) graphic design at the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) and in Altos de Chavón, School of Design (2012-2014).
His work has been shown in various places in the United States, such as the Queens Museum of Art in New York, and the Dominican Republic. In Italy at Centro Espositivo San Vidal, Venice Biennale; and Tuscany. The National School of Visual Arts (ENAV) awarded him the first prize for sculpture and painting and the second prize for academic excellence in 2007. He was also selected and awarded by the Embassy of Qatar in the Dominican Republic as part of an annual catalog of art in 2010.
Augusto currently lives and works in New York.
