Dominican artist Augusto Fanjul is a New York-based Artist whose practice bridges rigorous classical tradition and contemporary vision. He received his Master of Fine Arts from the New York Academy of Art, following foundational training at the National School of Fine Arts of the Dominican Republic, the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD), and the Altos de Chavon School of Design.

Fanjul’s work has been exhibited widely in major museum, art fair, and international biennial contexts, including the Queens Museum in New York, the SCOPE Art Fair in Miami (2025), and the Venice Biennale (Centro Espositivo San Vidal). Recognized early by institutions such as the National School of Visual Arts (ENAV) Which awarded him first prizes in both painting and sculpture, and the Embassy of Qatar, his oeuvre commands attention for its exceptional draftsmanship and technical mastery.

He is currently represented by Jessica Ann Peavy Gallery in New York City, where he lives and maintains his studio.
